QA Analyst

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

iPay Holding is the digital innovation arm of the Inteltec Group. We accelerate the growth of best of breed solutions targeted towards the ICT, Mobile Money, E-commerce, Retail and Public Sectors in the region. There is also a division of iPay dedicated towards seeding and incubating in-house projects and majority-owned startup investments. We are a young and dynamic organization leading the development of Smart VAS, Mobile Money, Retail and Hospitality and Digital Innovation projects across the MENA region. As a business accelerator for both new business startups and distribution partnerships with international telecom service providers we drive the incubation, launch and operational execution of ventures across GCC and Africa.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Quality Assurance Analyst at iPay will undertake the following responsibilities.

  • Design and implement testing plans for digital products.
  • Identify procedures and scenarios for the quality control of products and services.  Review design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of the digital products.
  • Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate; parameters may include general function, validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct testing to ensure digital products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines.
  • Process product reviews and inform the development team of defects and errors, while identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates.
  • Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team.
  • Monitor efforts to resolve product issues and track progress.
  • Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations.
  • Spot areas for improvement to enhance the products’ efficiency.
  • Research the current market for similar products and compare results.
  • Stay up to date with new testing methodologies and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Think out-of-box to visualize potential points of failure and ways to test them.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a similar discipline
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in the software testing domain
  • Experience in Quality Assurance and UAT
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with QA programs and databases
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong understanding of agile methodology
  • Working experience in Jira
  • Extensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Analyst.
